A colorful vehicle unique to the Philippines, originally created by modifying abandoned U.S. World War II jeeps. The Filipino jeepney is used throughout the country for transport...from people and sacks of rice to pigs, produce and pearls!

No two jeepneys look alike. Owners take great pride in the innovative decoration of their vehicles. The jeepney is a bright mobile assemblage of fancy mirrors, lights, antennas, decorative motifs and slogans. Each jeepney has a special name emblazoned across the front. "Hallelujah," "Lover Boy," and "Praise the Lord" are traditional favorites.
